Have you ever heard the saying, “Pride comes before a fall?” Well, today I’m going to tell you a story that takes this to a whole new level.

It’s a true account of four men so filled with arrogance and hatred that it took nothing less than a divine encounter to shatter their world view.
This isn’t just a tale from an ancient book.
It’s a powerful narrative that continues to resonate with millions today.
A story of transformation so profound it literally changed the course of history.
Our story begins in a place of great turmoil and tension.
Imagine a city bustling and alive but simmering with conflict.
In this city, a new movement was taking root.
A message of hope and love that was spreading like wildfire.
But not everyone was happy about it.
for a group of four influential men.
This new way of thinking was a direct threat to their power, their traditions, and everything they stood for.
These four men were not your average naysayers.
They were powerful, educated, and deeply entrenched in the religious establishment of their time.
They saw themselves as guardians of tradition, protectors of the old ways.
Tay names were Anonyas, Alexander, John, and Caiaphas.
Caiaphas the high priest was the ring leader.
He held immense authority and his word was law in many circles.
Together these men formed a formidable wall of opposition.
It was a consuming fire.
They saw the followers of this new path led by apostles named Peter and John as dangerous disruptors.
Okay.
They believed this new teaching was blasphemy, a poison that would corrupt the very soul of their nation.
So they decided to act.
They used their power to have Peter and John arrested, dragged before their council, the Sanhedrin, to be interrogated.
Picture the scene.
A grand hall filled with the most powerful men in the land.
Peter and John, simple fishermen by trade, stood before them.
The air was thick with hostility.
Caiaphas and his allies were ready to crush them, to silence this movement once and for all.
They demanded to know by what power, or in what name these apostles had healed a man who had been unable to walk from birth.
This healing was the miracle that had drawn so much attention and had so enraged the council, expected fear, expected Peter and John to crumble under the weight of their authority.
But that’s not what happened.
Okay? Instead, something extraordinary occurred.
Peter, filled with a courage that seemed to come from beyond himself, stood up and spoke.
He didn’t stutter or shrink back.
He looked these powerful men in the eye and declared that the healing was done in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the very man they had condemned.
He didn’t stop there.
He told them that this Jesus whom they had rejected was the cornerstone of a new spiritual house and that salvation could be found in no other name.
The council was stunned into silence.
These weren’t the uneducated, timid fishermen they had expected.
They spoke with an eloquence and authority that was undeniable.
Where did this boldness come from? They recognized them as companions of Jesus, and it baffled them.
The arrogance of Caiaphas and his companions began to crack.
It’s their plan to intimidate and silence the apostles had backfired spectacularly.
Here was the living proof of the apostles power.
The man who had been healed was standing right there beside them.
A walking, leaping testament to the miracle.
They couldn’t deny it.
The evidence was irrefutable.
They sent Peter and John out of the room so they could confer in private.
What could they do? The news of the miracle had already spread throughout the entire city.
To punish the apostles would risk a public outcry.
Their hatred was still burning, but it was now mixed with a heavy dose of fear and confusion.
Their carefully constructed world of control and authority was being shaken to its core.
Here’s where the divine encounter really hits home.
The council s pride was so immense they couldn’t tear themselves to acknowledge the truth staring them in the face.
Okay.
They couldn’t accept that they might be wrong.
So they did the only thing their bruised egos would allow.
They called Peter and John back in and threatened them, ordering them never to speak or teach in that name again.
It was a desperate attempt to regain control, to put the lid back on something that was clearly beyond their power to contain.
But Peter and John’s response was the final blow to their arrogance.
They simply asked, “Which is right in God’s eyes? To listen to you or to him? You be the judges?” As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.
Think about that for a moment.
fishermen in the face of the most powerful authority in their land essentially said your threats mean nothing to us.
Our allegiance is to a higher power.
The four manifas anonyas John and Alexander were left speechless.
Their hatred, their pride, their entire system of belief had just been challenged and in that moment defeated.
They had no comeback.
All they could do was repeat their threats and let them go.
Powerless to stop the very thing they feared most, attack.
This encounter didn’t magically make the council members into believers.
Their hearts were still hard, but their pride was shattered.
They came into that room as arrogant, powerful men, confident in their ability to crush this new movement.
They left as frustrated, confused, and ultimately powerless figures who had come face to face with a power they could neither understand nor control.
The story doesn’t end there.
Of course, Peter and John went back to their own people.
And instead of being fearful, they prayed for even more boldness to continue speaking the truth.
And their movement grew, spreading across the globe.
All because a few ordinary people empowered by a divine spirit refuse to be silenced by the arrogance and hatred of the powerful.
So what can we take away from this incredible story? It shows us that true power doesn’t come from status or wealth or a position of authority.
True power comes from conviction, from truth and for people of faith, from a connection to the divine.
It teaches us that hatred and arrogance, no matter how strong they seem, are ultimately brittle.
They can be shattered by the simple, unshakable power of truth and love.
This account from the book of Acts is a timeless reminder that courage can overcome intimidation, and that even the most hardened hearts can be confronted with a reality they cannot deny.
The four men wanted to extinguish a flame, but all they did was fan it into an inferno.
Their attempt to assert their dominance resulted in a stunning display of their own weakness.
It’s a powerful lesson in humility and a testament to the idea that some things are just bigger than any human attempt to control them.

The journey to that terrifying moment on this sacred altar began two weeks earlier in a suffocating and dark room.
I was sitting in the small and dimly lit apartment of my close friend, Wissiff.
The air in the narrow room was incredibly thick and heavy.
It was filled with a bitter smell of cheap tobacco smoke and the heat of our own endless anger.
There were four of us gathered there in that cramped space on a late Friday evening.
Whisiff sat across from me on a worn out fabric chair.
He was always a very quiet man, but his dark eyes constantly scanned the room like a predator, waiting for the right moment to strike his prey.
He had a unique way of looking at people that made them feel small and totally insignificant.
Nabi leaned heavily against the peeling wallpaper near the single small window that looked out onto the busy street below.
He was the tallest and most physically imposing among us.
He had very broad shoulders and large hands that could never stay still for more than a minute.
Nabi was always full of restless energy and a constant need to prove his physical dominance to anyone who dared to look at him the wrong way.
Then there was Farid.
He was the youngest of our group at only 24 years old.
Farid was incredibly reckless and always eager to prove his bravery and loyalty to the older men in the group.
he would quickly agree to any dangerous or foolish idea just to earn a simple nod of approval from Wif or myself.
I looked at the three of them and felt a deep and very dark sense of pride swelling in my chest.
We shared a strong common bond of deep prejudice and absolute arrogance against those who believed differently than we did.
We grew up in a strict culture that taught us to view the Christian faith as weak and entirely foolish.
We despised their peaceful gatherings and their quiet hymns.
We hated their silent prayers and their constant teachings of grace and forgiveness.
To our minds, forgiveness was just another cowardly word for surrender and weakness.
We spent countless hours in that smoky room mocking their core beliefs.
We called their devotion a massive lie, and we considered their holy symbols to be nothing more than dead pieces of wood and carved metal.
We felt superior to them in every possible way you could imagine.
Whisf took a long and slow drag from his cigarette.
He exhaled a thick gray cloud toward the stained ceiling above us.
He spoke in a low and very steady voice that commanded attention.
He said we needed to do something bold and unforgettable to expose their weakness to the entire neighborhood.
We did not want to just argue with them on the streets anymore because words were no longer enough for us.
We wanted to humiliate them in the most public and devastating way we could possibly imagine.
Nabi crossed his large arms and nodded his head in strong agreement.
He suggested we should target their most sacred symbol during their most holy time of the week to maximize the psychological damage.
He said, “If we took the cross right from their altar during the Sunday mass, they would do absolutely nothing but weep and bow, their heads in pathetic defeat.
” He mocked their nonviolent nature and laughed at the thought of their helpless tears.
Farid laughed out loud at the dark idea.
He agreed immediately and enthusiastically without a second of hesitation.
He said he wanted to see the look of absolute despair and total helplessness on the faces of the priests and the congregation.
I sat there and listened to their dark plans.
I felt a sudden rush of dark adrenaline mixed with pure unfiltered arrogance flowing through my veins.
I truly and deeply believed we were completely untouchable by any law or any god.
I believed with all my heart that we held the ultimate truth and that these Christian people were just clinging to empty and pathetic traditions that deserved to be crushed.
We spent the next two weeks perfecting our wicked plan down to the smallest detail.
We mapped out the specific streets leading to the St.
Michael Church with strict military precision.
We memorized the exact schedule of their weekly services by watching the building from a safe distance across the street.
We knew exactly when the older priest would turn his back to the congregation to face the altar.
We knew exactly when the people would be completely absorbed in their deep prayers with their eyes closed and their heads bowed.
We calculated the exact physical distance from the heavy wooden entrance doors to the main altar at the front.
We timed how long it would take to walk down the center aisle quickly without drawing too much immediate attention.
I remember walking the streets in the days leading up to that fateful Sunday.
I would look at the Christian families heading to their church and feel overwhelming sense of toxic superiority.
I thought of them as mindless sheep waiting to be humiliated by wolves who knew no mercy.
I never once considered the extreme danger of walking into a dedicated place of worship with a heart full of such deep malice.
I was completely blinded by my own massive ego and the intense shared hatred of my close friends.
We fed off the bitter anger of each other every single day leading up to the event.
Every conversation in that small apartment reinforced our twisted belief that we were doing the right and necessary thing.
We convinced ourselves that tearing down their sacred cross would somehow elevate our own standing and power in our local community.
The night before the planned event, I lay in my bed and stared at the dark ceiling for many hours.
I felt absolutely no guilt in my heart.
I felt no hesitation or doubt in my mind about what we were about to do.
I only felt a cold and calculated determination to execute the plan perfectly and without any flaws.
I woke up the next morning feeling entirely invincible and ready for the mission.
The four of us met at the corner of the busy street just as the bright sun began to rise higher in the sky.
The sky was perfectly clear and the morning air was crisp and pleasantly cool against my face.
I wore my best dark jacket to easily blend in with the smartly dressed Sunday crowd.
We walked shoulderto-shoulder down the narrow street that was paved with uneven gray cobblestones.
A massive and imposing building of the church loomed ahead of us at the end of the road.
It was very tall and made of old cream colored bricks that smelled faintly of recent rain and ancient dust.
A thin and elegant bell tower pointed straight toward the sky like a silent warning from a divine power we completely refused to acknowledge.
I completely ignored the warning and focused on the mission.
I checked my wristwatch to ensure we were exactly on time.
It read exactly 17 minutes past 9 in the morning.
The heavy and ancient church bells began to ring loudly.
The deep and resonant sound echoed through the narrow street and vibrated deeply against my chest.
Usually, the loud sound of church bells meant absolutely nothing to me other than background noise.
But on that specific morning, the ringing sound felt strangely heavy and incredibly oppressive.
It was as if the air itself was vibrating with an unseen and ancient force that was aware of our dark intentions.
I pushed the uncomfortable and foreign feeling away and forced a confident smirk onto my face to hide my sudden unease.
I looked to my left and right at Whizziff, Nabi, and Farid.
We nodded at each other in silent and firm agreement.
We were completely ready to walk through those heavy wooden doors.
We were ready to march boldly down the center aisle and destroy their sacred service in front of everyone.
We stepped over the holy threshold with our hearts full of heavy darkness and supreme arrogance.
We did not know we were walking straight into a divine trap set by the god we were trying to mock.
We had no idea we were about to face a massive supernatural encounter that would break our physical bodies completely and rebuild our shattered souls from the inside out.
We thought we were the powerful hunters entering the pen of the weak sheep, but we were about to become the conquered and the transformed.
If you are watching this video right now and you are beginning to realize how incredibly real and powerful the unseen spiritual battle truly is, please take a moment to subscribe to this channel so you can hear the rest of my dramatic testimony and discover the ultimate and shocking truth we found on that day.
We finally reached the very front rows of the polished wooden pews where the most devoted worshippers were kneeling.
Several people slowly looked up from their deep prayers and finally noticed our disruptive presence.
I saw genuine confusion and mild concern ripple quickly across their tired faces as they saw four young and angry men marching aggressively toward their sacred space during the most holy and quiet part of their weekly service.
We did not stop our momentum and we certainly did not slow down our aggressive pace.
We quickly bypassed the small and decorative wooden gate that separated the seated congregation from the elevated altar area.
We stepped up the three smooth marble stairs that elevated the sanctuary above the rest of the main floor.
The old priest paused his gentle chanting and turned his head very slowly to look directly at us.
His ancient eyes were very calm and entirely free of the sudden anger or frantic panic I had fully expected and wanted to see.
He did not shout for help, and he did not raise his frail hands to stop our aggressive approach.
He simply watched us with a deep and profoundly sorrowful expression that deeply confused my angry and chaotic mind.
I stood directly in front of the massive wooden cross.
I could clearly see the intricate and painful details carved into the dark wood and the heavy iron nails depicted in the hands and feet of the silent figure.
I took one final and very deep breath to steady my racing and terrified heart.
I prepared my tight muscles for the violent and sudden physical act of tearing the heavy religious symbol down from its high resting place.
I was absolutely ready to destroy their quiet peace and completely humiliate their faith in front of everyone.
We stood together before the massive wooden doors of St.
Michael Church.
The heavy oak timber was deeply weathered and intricately carved with ancient symbols and long flowing vines that I did not care to understand at that specific moment.
I placed my right hand against the cold and heavy iron handle and pushed inward with a firm and aggressive motion.
The thick door creaked loudly, and the harsh sound echoed like a sudden warning shot into the quiet and empty street behind us.
As we stepped over the worn stone threshold, the atmosphere around us changed instantly and drastically.
The crisp and ordinary morning air of the busy city was completely left behind and abruptly replaced by a very heavy and ancient coolness that seemed to settle directly onto my skin.
It smelled intensely of melting beeswax and aged polished wood, and there was a faint but persistent lingering scent of sweet frankincense that seemed to stick stubbornly to the back of my throat.
The sheer massive size of the interior architecture was clearly meant to make a human being feel very small and entirely insignificant in the presence of the divine.
But I stubbornly held on to my toxic pride and my dark intentions.
I forced my tense shoulders back and lifted my chin high to project a false sense of absolute dominance.
The vast and sweeping ceiling stretched incredibly far above our heads, and it was supported by massive gray stone pillars that looked exactly like the thick trunks of giant petrified trees in a forgotten and silent forest.
Brilliant and colorful light poured heavily through the tall and magnificent stained glass windows on our left and right sides.
The sunlight caught the floating particles of dust in the air and cast long and deeply distorted shadows across the smooth stone floor and rich shades of deep blue and bright blood red.
The church was completely full of ordinary people gathered for their morning worship.
