Bill Maher couldn’t be more wrong

>> I want to talk about Cuba

This must be important to you, right? That’s where your family’s from

You grew up

>> We’re Mexican

Not all the same, Bill

>> Oh, I’m sorry

>> Who’s got jokes now? >> During an appearance on Bill’s show, Anna Paulina Luna own the stage, moving through topic after topic while making Mah and the CNN contributor look completely out of their depth

And today, we’re covering it all

So, hit that subscribe button and let’s jump right into it

You were one of the people who wanted the Epstein files release, which was good

Okay

Then you have Hillary Clinton come in

I mean, this is like three gazillion pages of men behaving badly and the and the witness you want is a woman

>> She was issued a bipartisan subpoena, meaning the Democrats wanted her into cuz her Bill Clinton was all over those logs

>> So, you would have been against that bringing Hillary in

>> No, I voted for the subpoena as well

>> But what did she have to do with it? She never met the guy

And again, for something that’s all about men behaving badly, the first person you had, you don’t think that’s a bad look? >> I think the the question for her was specifically because he was a big donor to the Clinton Foundation

But I want to point out something that a lot of people aren’t talking about

I actually read the names and other women have as well confirmed this specifically other members that saw the unredacted files

Some of the most egregious emails that you saw talking about girls ages 10 and 11, um, talking about mocking a little girl who was praying, those came from women

The only co-conspirator currently sitting in jail is Galen Maxwell

There were other women that were co-conspirators and given plea deals to testify, and they were let off

>> Exactly

The fact that Bill focused on Hillary being subpoenaed, completely ignoring how she and her husband weren’t going to show up unless threatened with being held in contempt of Congress, shows you exactly where his priorities are

Not to mention the fact that Epstein visited the White House at least 17 times during Bill’s presidency, donated to the Clinton Foundation, and was sent an invitation from Hillary’s campaign during her 2016 run

So, it’s not strange for Congress to ask questions

It’s literally their job

Then the conversation shifted towards late night shows supposedly being targeted

And that’s when Luna shared some interesting details that completely changed the tone

>> Corporations CNN could fire me tomorrow

They have a perfect right to

Okay, fine

That’s not censorship

That’s just uh I did a bad job

They fired me

But the government weighing in saying you have to fire Steven Coar, Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Maher, that’s fascism

Well, I’m not making excuses, but what I will say is there is an aspect of our own First Amendment currently that’s actually being exploited by places like China that’s inundating with propaganda

And there are people there are very wealthy people that are currently being investigated without saying too much that have been caught tied to terrorist networks and other countries like China pushing propaganda in an effort to break our country apart

That is a fact

I will come back and explain and I can do an entire segment on China

You’re all good

>> You’re good at this

You’re good at your job

>> I see where you are

>> I believe in this

>> No, I I know you do

>> The details are out there

And the name that keeps coming up is Neville Roy Singum

He’s a tech multi-millionaire based in Shanghai who has ties to the CCP

And according to multiple reports, his money funds a global network that now numbers an estimated 2,000 hard-left organizations that parrot anti-US propaganda supporting autocratic regimes

There are also claims that he allegedly funneled $278 million into organizations that sow discord in the US

Even the New York Times did a lengthy piece about him back in 2023

Bill pivoted again, this time to Gavin Newsome in his chances in 2028

But Luna clearly wasn’t buying what the CNN contributor was trying to sell

>> What do you What do you make of the recent polling that suggests California may be choosing between two Republican candidates for governor? >> I love that

>> We I’m sure you do

Uh we have we have jungle primaries out here, right? I mean, I think that means you you can have as many candidates and the top two it doesn’t have to be from different parties

It’s the top two no matter what party

And the top two p polling now are both Republicans

That says right

>> Join me

Come on

>> It just means the Democrats got to get their act together

They’re I I I don’t live in a state that does this, but I kind of like the idea of these jungle primaries

They The idea is, I think, to produce more moderate

>> What does that information tell you about Gavin Newsome’s chance to get the nomination? Uh because obviously he’s running for president and Josh Shapiro is running for president

And I mean, Josh Shapiro, he was here last week

He has a really good story to tell about his state

Now, I like Gavin a lot, but that’s a lot harder story to tell

>> Oh, I I think my party has more talent than I’ve ever seen

This is part of the tragedy of Joe Biden running

Unlike in 2024, I want a primary and I want it to be vicious

I want fighting

Steel, sharp, and steel

>> So, you want mega? >> I But I think I certainly don’t want MAGA

I know it’s a slogan that’s associated with Trump, but it literally stands for make America great again

So saying that you don’t want MAGA is bad optics

Also, I’d love to see him list the talent on the Democratic side

Does the list include Jasmine Crockett, AOC, or Mayor Johnson? Anna Paulina went on to give one early example of Newsome struggling on the campaign trail and that’s when you could see Mars start to lose patience as the conversation shifted away from his side

I think um Gavin made a big mistake with his uh reading comment and I just think that you know I actually know Nicki Minaj

She’s now as you know very Republican um but I think that she pointed out you know this aspect of politicians make these comments and they’re not themselves

>> What are you referring to? Tell them you’re talking to the mayor of Atlanta

>> Yeah

I don’t want to misquote him but basically the implication was he wasn’t you know good at >> he was trying he was trying to say I’m one of you

>> So he basically said you know I’m dyslexic

I don’t read very good like you guys

And it just came it just was >> it’s but it’s insulting, right? It’s like the it’s like >> it’s insulting and it’s also a a function of when you’re on a book tour running for president, you do a million events a day

Your brain is fried at 8:00 at night and you’re trying to like not step on the landmine and you do

And I think we all have to show some grace when people do that

>> I look no one thinks he’s really a racist

That’s a huge stretch

For anyone who missed it, Gavin was basically using his book tour as a campaign stop

And while speaking to a predominantly black audience, he said, “I’m like you

I’m no better than you

You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy

” And if you thought that was bad, he made it even worse, adding, “You’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech

Maybe the wrong business to be in

” Just imagine for one second if a Republican had said something like that

Every network would jump on it

Non-stop coverage, headlines everywhere, people claiming that they feel personally attacked across the country, and eventually they’d probably dedicate an entire month to it

Bill then flipped the script and asked Luna who she won on the Republican ticket, and I think she handled it pretty well

>> Final question for you

Who better represents the future of MAGA, JD Vance or Marco Rubio? >> Oh, that that’s a dirty question

That is a dirty question

>> You can’t answer

Um, so I just Well, I don’t know if it’s true, so I don’t want to speculate

Um, I think them as a ticket would be a winning ticket, >> but who’s on top? >> Well, they’ll have they’ll have I think they’ll have to battle it out

But I I think that Secretary Rubio has done a phenomen phenomenal job in foreign policy

He really has

He was the only cabinet appointee that was actually um unanimously voted into the position and he also has I think one of the higher approval ratings currently

Okay

>> And so he’s done great

But JD is also someone that um I campaigned with actually in California during the presidential primary and someone that I think has the ability to connect with people on a level

You know his story, Hillbilly Elegy

He is the type of person that did come from a normal upbringing

We need more of that in Washington DC

>> Okay

Thank you very much

Thank you very much

>> This whole idea of constantly being in election mode is getting kind of tiresome

It doesn’t matter if it’s the left or the right

It’s just nonstop

All the names that keep getting thrown around that might be leading in the polls right now

But that can change fast

One bad moment, one misstep, suddenly someone else takes the lead

We’ve seen that happen before

It’s just too early to act like anything is locked in

There’s still more than two and a half years until the 2028 election, and we haven’t even gone through midterms yet, which could shift everything
