Vladimir Putin was just humiliated to his face inside the Kremlin.

In an unprecedented jaw-dropping meeting, the leader of one of Russia’s oldest allies just looked the dictator directly in the eye and brutally mocked the absolute death of Russian democracy.

But the insult was just the beginning.

Furious that Putin completely abandoned Armenia during a brutal invasion just to save his own failing war machine, Armenia is now publicly ripping up their alliance and running straight into the arms of the EU and the United States.

The Kremlin’s version of NATO has officially collapsed.

And Putin has no one to blame but himself.

Here’s more details.

Yesterday, Putin invited the Armenian prime minister to Moscow to improve relationships after Russia betrayed Armenia.

But things did not go as Putin had hoped.

The Armenian prime minister ridiculed Putin to his face.

He mocked him about social media getting banned inside of Russia and democracy disappearing.

Just take a listen yourself.

As for our domestic political processes, you know, Armenia is a democratic country and we practically always have political processes and this is already a normal thing for us and in fact twice a year we have elections, municipal elections.

They are also very politicized because as a result of our political reforms, people vote for or against political parties.

I mean, we have many of our citizens, not very many, but there are citizens who think that there is too much democracy in Armenia.

But this is a matter of principle for us.

Our social networks, for example, are 100% free.

There are no restrictions at all and many citizens think that this is too much.

>> Now, the reason this part of the conversation came up was because Putin was blaming Armenia for being undemocratic.

Now, Putin is not a comedian, so I’m guessing he’s being death serious about this accusation.

So, let’s look at what he’s talking about.

You see, last year, Armenia jailed a pro-Russian billionaire.

Putin claims that he was jailed just for supporting Russia, when in reality, the true story is a lot more complicated.

You see, according to the Armenian government, Russia was using this billionaire to carry out a coup against the Armenian government, against the prime minister who’s sitting right in front of Putin.

And that’s why this guy was jailed.

Now, of course, Putin is not going to admit to all this on camera, but it was pretty funny watching him lecture someone else about democracy, all the while, he’s been in power for 26 years now.

So, I guess Putin really doesn’t have anyone else to blame but himself when he walked into this insult.

But you see, this wasn’t even Putin’s biggest problem from the meeting.

One of Putin’s real pet project was building a NATO equivalent in, you know, the Soviet Union countries.

So, the former Soviet Union countries, I guess, and Armenia was part of that organization.

This was called the CSTTO, the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

But now it seems Armenia is realizing that Russia is not a security partner you can depend on.

Just take a listen to what the Armenian president had to say about this organization.

To Putin’s face, by the way, listen.

At that time we recognized Karabach as part of Azerbaijan.

But we did so only after the top leadership of the Russian Federation spoke about it publicly twice.

And you remember we have talked about this many times.

We have never hidden our problems with the CSTO either.

We had a tough situation in 2022 and in my opinion the CSTTO mechanisms should have worked but they did not and this of course led to the situation that we have in our relations with the CSTTO.

We are not currently participating in the work of the collective security treaty organization CSTTO because for a simple reason.

We are still unable to explain to our people, our citizens, why the CSTO did not react and did not react despite the obligations that exist under the Collective Security Treaty Organization, CSTO.

Now, before I give you guys more context as to how Putin betrayed Armenia, just a quick reminder to hit the like and subscribe button down below.

It truly does help us out tremendously.

So, let’s start from the beginning.

Live updates: Putin tells NBC News the ball is in Ukraine's court to end war and signals no new compromise

CSTTO is Russia’s answer to NATO.

The promise is very similar.

An attack on one is an attack on all.

So, pretty much like NATO.

But take a look at the members of this organization.

It’s Russia at the top.

Then we have Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, and Tyrasan.

Now, I’m not trying to be disrespectful to any of these countries, but it doesn’t seem like this roster is quite lining up to NATO’s roster.

But nonetheless, CSTTO was set up in 2003, but it wasn’t really active until 2022.

The first deployment happened in Kazakhstan in January of 2022.

Massive protests broke out in the country over fuel prices and these protests turned violent.

This is when CSTTO was activated, Russian troops were deployed and peace was quickly restored.

It actually worked but only for about 7 months.

You see, in September of 2022, CSTTO was activated again, this time by Armenia.

Ajaraijan had attacked this territory that has been very very contested for the last 30 years.

This was the territory of Nagoro Carabach.

Now, we’re not going to get into the complexity of this issue, but the thing we need to care about for this video is that Armenia is a member of this organization, CSTTO, and that means if Azarbaian is attacking a territory that Armenia considers its own, Russia and CSTTO need to step up and help out Armenia.

After all, this was the main promise of the CSTTO, much like how NATO has article 5.

But unfortunately, if you guys remember, just in February of 2022, Putin launched this 3-day special military operation.

And by September, those 3 days were still ongoing.

So, Russia really didn’t have the capacity to intervene to protect Armenia.

So, when CSTTO was activated, Russia basically said no.

And to Armenia, this was a big big betrayal.

Now of course Russia also had other reasons to not go against Ajaba.

You see Ajabaijan was backed by Turkey a very strong military and on top of that Russia has a lot of business interest in Ajabaijan.

So Putin just didn’t want to get involved but unfortunately for him this literally meant the death of his project death of CSTTO cuz think about it what would you guys do if someone promises you the world but doesn’t deliver when you need them the most? Well, Armenia did exactly what you would expect.

They basically
pulled out of the CSTTO.

They realized that Russia was not a dependable ally.

So, they started focusing on Western reproachment.

Basically getting close to the EU and the United States.

Now, of course, Putin wasn’t happy about this.

But he cannot publicly tell a country that they cannot join EU.

It’s not like a military organization like NATO.

It’s a economic organization.

So he came up with a unique excuse as to why what Armenia is doing is wrong.

Take a listen.

>> And we see that there is discussion going on in Armenia about developing relationships with the European Union.

We are perfectly fine with that.

We understand that every country aspires to maximize its advantages.

But this has to be well designated in advance that being in the customs union with the European Union and Urusk at the same time is impossible.

It’s impossible by definition and it’s well it’s just purely economical because some things they require years of cooperation and joint work.

difference in evaluating certain commodity groups, it sanitary, surveillance and so on.

Russia and the European Union have very different sanitary requirements and standards among a whole host of other matters that make it impossible.

He’s basically saying that, hey, you can join the EU, but you cannot continue trading with Russia if you do so.

Now, it’s not just the EU that Armenia is getting close to.

The United States has gotten very involved, not just in Armenia, but also in the entire caucuses.

In fact, just last year, the US actually brokered a peace deal between Armenia and Ajarjan.

This is something that Russia couldn’t achieve or did not want to achieve in the last three decades.

Maybe Russia benefits from a frozen conflict, but the US did it in just one meeting.

Take a look.

President of the United States, the president of the Republic of Azarbaian, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia will now sign the joint declaration on the outcomes of the Trump route for international peace and prosperity summit.

>> That’s really >> They will sign three copies in English.

The president of the United States signs as a witness to the president of the Republic of Azarbaian and the prime minister of the Republic of Armenia affirming their path to peace, stability, and prosperity.

We kindly ask
that all guests remain seated for the signing of the documents.

Now, Russia was furious about this.

And it wasn’t just random people on the internet and random people who talk about politics that were mad.

We even had former Russian defense officials who were publicly complaining.

Like this next clip, we have Shyigu, who used to be the defense minister for Russia, but even now he’s very close to Putin.

He’s part of the political circle.

He serves on the Russian security council, which is like the highest body in Russia, political body in Russia that takes care of national security.

And he was so unhappy about this peace deal that he would not give the United States credit for it.

He said this was just West getting involved in Russian business and trying to squeeze Russia out of the caucuses.

Take a listen.

It seems to me that it was Russia that helped to settle the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Russia is a deciding factor in the stability of the entire south caucuses.

If we look at the history of the development of relations, there were practically no conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia under the patronage of Russia and all the conflicts that arose were quickly settled with the help of Russia.

Unfortunately, those attempts by some western countries to interfere in the settlement of the Armenian Azerbaijani relations and this is an attempt to squeeze Russia out of the South Caucuses.

They bring no benefit.

The benefit is exactly the opposite.

They add nervousness, complexity, and ambiguity.

>> For Putin though, this is nothing new.

He’s getting used to losing allies.

Putin Announces Invasion of Ukraine

Ever since he launched his 3-day special military operation, he lost Syria.

He lost Venezuela.

He may lose Iran.

And now it seems he’s losing former Soviet countries, too.
