British boxer Anthony Joshua has shared his honest verdict on Jake Paul’s punches following his victory over him.

A few days ago, on Dec. 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, British boxing sensation Anthony Joshua defeated YouTuber-cum-boxer Jake Paul. Despite Paul showcasing an impressive display in the first few rounds, he lost energy and soon became tired, before Joshua shifted momentum and snatched away the victory in the sixth round.
Following the bout, Joshua spoke to Fight Hub TV, where he assessed Paul’s punches. During their bout, “The Watford Warrior” connected with 48 punches but only received 16 in return. He officially landed three knockdowns in the sixth-round and secured his victory.
When quizzed about Paul’s performance, Joshua dropped a short but straight response: “It was alright.”
Further addressing his own performance, Joshua claimed that it “could have been better,” but he acknowledged that “we got there in the end.”
While Jake Paul recovers from his broken jaw suffered at the hands of Joshua, “AJ” is now heavily rumored to go against Rico Verhoeven and his longtime rival, Tyson Fury.

Joe Rogan fears long-term damage after Jake Paul’s loss to Anthony Joshua
Recently speaking on the latest edition of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the UFC commentator expressed his concern over potential long-term damage after Joshua landed the heavy blow on Paul’s skull.
“You could only take so much. And at a certain…like that one that he got from Joshua, say if you have a punch card, you have so many punches that you can get in your life, which I believe you do. I believe it’s a certain number. That one was like 10 punches. That was a lot of concussions in that one punch. That was real damage. If someone’s breaking your jaw in two places, the inside of your f***ing head, there’s a lot of damage going on in there, too.”
